Designing is in FireWare's blood. We try to do things a bit different or more fun every now and then. We also have an office, which includes an evacuation plan. But we are not so fond of click lists… We started thinking about: can't we make our floor plans more beautiful? We've had a lot of positive comments about the design of our evacuation plans recently: So we'd like to share some ideas with you!
Let's get one thing straight: We don't understand evacuation plans. We are certainly not the company that can draft and sign them. We don't do that: our customers do that. But we do like beautiful things!
That is why we have chosen to print the FireWare evacuation plans on aluminum. There are many ways to print photos on other materials: Glass, textiles and even wood. There are numerous online providers where a map can be printed on an interesting material for not too much money. Instead of “a boring click list” a sleek design with an interesting choice of materials.
It's just an idea… Maybe it will help you: Of course the content is the most important… but the eye also wants something now and then.
