FireControl started using one of the first advanced procedure trainers for emergency response in 2009. Now, 7 years later, the time has come for the next step: a spectacular expansion! FireWare came up with a design which perfectly links into the current insights and market developments. This includes the addition of an additional floor and all together more than 80 different scenarios will be made available. It goes without saying several instructors will be able to work in the installation with their respective groups at the same time. The operation is realised with iPads. Starting another scenario can be done with the simple touch of a button. This ensures every student will be experiencing something different!
More than 30 smoke machines are incorporated within the installation. The application of intelligent controls and the new energy efficient FireSales Nimbo smoke machines have realised impressive energy savings. Good for the environment and for the training experience! Another innovation is the extensive simulation possibilities offered by the fire alarm system. These are simulated on two large touch screens. This allows for a wide range of scenarios with multiple construction layers. The sound experience is also incredibly lifelike with more than 30 individually controlled speakers.
Horizontal evacuations, vertical evacuations, lift entrapment: it’s all possible in the new FireControl procedure trainer.
We have even designed two unique interactive rooms for the lifesaving activities part. The scenarios are supported by projections, sound effects and special magnetic walls in these rooms. This results in a unique training experience, whereby the senses are all stimulated as realistically as possible. The students’ actions are followed with cameras, allowing for a perfect evaluation. All these adjustments have made this new installation one of the most modern in Europe!
