These are special times. It will take unfortunately also some time before all is back to normal. Many people work from home. Through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype and other solutions everyone remains in contact with others as much as possible.
But it is quite to conduct a brainstorming or creative session then when you see each other live. If only because through the particular angle of the webcam in a laptop, you never had such a good view of the bottom of the chin of your colleagues ...
The current brainstorming room is being adjusted
FireWare at this time adjusts the Brainstorming room with digital remote sessions. Think of brainstorming, strategy definition, product development, improvements, organisational issues and much more. The current space has always been used for sessions in which all participants are physically in the same room. Now we change this. We will ensure that participants working via Microsoft Teams, Zoom or similar programs have a much stronger experience. And we make a number of technical and conceptual changes.
Technical adjustments
Everything is of course designed so you can work safely. The distance between the technician and the facilitator is at any time at least 2 metres. There are enough facilities for disinfection to keep the risk of contamination minimal. We already contemplated this at the planning stage.
The studio features also:
- 6 whiteboards
- a digital whiteboard and additional screens for content
- a customizable surrounding
- recording equipment with various camera positions
- professional lighting
- professional audio features
- various interactive tools, traditional and digital, to enhance the participants' involvement
- Green screen and blue screen are present
- Various furniture, desks, tables and places to place objects
With these facilities the participant feels part of a TV program. This produces many more interactive features to engage the participants in an active session.
Conceptual adjustments: from a Post-it Fax to a brainstorm package are delivered
Of course, the feeling and the experience will not be identical to a session in which participants all are in the same room and can even have physical contact. But we can indeed implement remote methods through which new, actionable insights can be reached. A session that breaks routine, with the team also creating new memories together. A different approach is needed. And we are working on this in FireWare!
Think about the Post-it fax, in which we allow remotely completed Post-its to the central board. Or the brainstorming package, in which participants prior to brainstorming can be sent a kit with items they will need. But that is only the beginning!
Goal sharp in mind
Of course it is good that there is now a possibility to also keep a remote creative brainstorm. But such a session is always held with a purpose. And that goal needs good preparatory work. This is a joint effort between the client and FireWare. The preparatory phase is crucial with these methods. Do not underestimate the preparation time for such an event.
A facilitator by FireWare or your own facilitator?
In FireWare we have extensive experience in facilitating various types of sessions within the security domain and beyond. Sef Hendrickx for example is a Certified Lego Serious Play Facilitator. However, also many other methods can be used.
Of course you can also use your own facilitator and only use the studio. We confirm we continue following the RIVM guidelines. Should a facilitator or technician have disease symptoms, the session cannot proceed.
From when can it be deployed?
