Many emergency response bodies are currently struggling to learn and maintain skills. Remote teaching is a way to continue developing skills, even in these challenging times.
While a number of different projects have already been performed, such as the webinars and instruction videos released by the South-Holland South Safety Region, there are also the online evening courses hosted by the North-Holland North Safety Region.
Sharing is caring
The concept of remote teaching is a new one to the emergency response sector, especially at this scale, which is why Bas Bor of the South-Holland South Safety Region, Richard Dorenbos of the North-Holland North Safety Region and Sef Hendrickx of FireWare are working intensively together and sharing their knowledge – not just with each other, but with the entire emergency response sector!
The results of a range of experiments; dilemmas that we are faced with; what works and what doesn't work? These are all issues that we will be actively sharing through newsletters and on social media. Our intention is that this remote approach will allow emergency responders to both become and stay skilled. We might not know it all, but together we're ready to take on the challenge of the learning curve!
