On September 2, 2023, youth firefighters from all over Flanders were invited to the Paulo Fire Training Center in Ghent for an educational and exciting day. The Youth Fire Brigade Event Belgium was once again organized! Dion Romijn from our dealer Hobrand Belgium was also present to introduce the Youth Fire Brigade members to various training equipment from FireWare. In the exercise "Learning to Walk Blind," complete with light, sound, and smoke, they searched for a 'victim' and safely evacuated them. The FireWare Nebula AR simulation masks were also enthusiastically tested. This exercise was set up on the set of the Flemish TV series 'Onder Vuur' (Under Fire). The children's enthusiasm was palpable! It was definitely a successful and educational day.
The Youth Fire Brigade Event
Our dealer Hobrand Belgium utilized several training materials from FireWare in the event's staging. At this event, the Panodra's Box V3, the Cirrus smoke machine, the Phoenix Silkflame, Mini Silkflame, and the Nebula AR Simulation Masks provided the setup and experience for the young participants. Youth Fire Brigade Flanders
At the youth fire brigade, young people learn techniques they can use throughout their lives in everyday situations. Additionally, children can choose to undergo training as a fire cadet, preparing them for a real firefighting career! Children can enroll from the age of 12 and learn various skills, including first aid techniques, extinguishing small fires, and drill and sports exercises such as marching and completing an obstacle course. Through this educational and active approach, children become more aware of fire hazards and all the aspects associated with them.
By using FireWare training materials, the children of the Youth Fire Brigade Flanders were able to experience as realistically and safely as possible what it's like to tackle a fire scenario.
