The 5th International Safety Education Seminar was held in Antwerp on 19 and 20 November 2019. More than 150 professionals from various countries came together to share ideas how to contribute in the future of public fire safety.
At the FireWare booth, various information materials within the framework of Fire Safety were displayed. The scale model of the “Tame the Flame” really caught the eye of the visitors. This interactive roadshow has been driving through the Dutch provinces for 8 years now.
We were also able to inspire visitors with the case studies of other realized information vehicles, such as the Electro game, the Red Alert, the Kameleon Race and the information container from the Drenthe Safety Region.
Information vehicle “van Vlam”
During the conference lecture by Arne Dewaet and Koen Maertens, special attention was paid to the “van Vlam” vehicle. This vehicle has been realized by FireWare and is able to collect data about the visitors’ knowledge in a special way. It is very inspiring to hear how the East Flemish Brabant safety region and Oscare use this data for better targeted campaigns!
We were really inspired by the large number of fascinating speakers. It was incredibly useful to experience how the fire safety theme is conveyed in other parts of the world and the new insights that have been acquired. We certainly will include this information in our new designs!
