For the first time this year, the Nordic First Aid Congress was organised by the Danish First Aid Council. A large number of visitors from the Scandinavian countries, but also from outside, met in Copenhagen from 10 to 11 March to share knowledge and insights on resuscitation education. FireWare was given the opportunity to give two lectures on the theme of realistic staging. These well-attended sessions provided insight into the different ways of looking at realism. Examples were given of large exercises, but also a lot of tips & trucks that the participants could already do the next day with materials from the supermarket.
Optisafe
Our Danish distributor, Optisafe saved neither effort nor expense to introduce conference visitors to a number of innovative concepts: For example, we introduced the new cabin in which an environment is projected around the AMBU resuscitation doll. By means of projection, light and sound effects, a unique experience is created. Another new feature is that the resuscitation doll is fully integrated into the scenario.
Unique scenario
The participant goes through the entire cycle: they witness the accident, report it, save lives and hand it over to the ambulance. This is all happening in one unique scenario. This concept is a further development of the interaction first aid space as FireWare was allowed to build - FireControl in The Hague - and the BVL popup-store we make for the VR Zeeland. We were even allowed to take a part of this popup-store with us to show. Very nice!
