After the success of the first escape room for company emergency teams in the Netherlands, FireWare and Intertraining have joined forces again for a collaboration. The Control Room is a whole new experience for students. Students take on the role of a dispatcher!
A real control room
When you hear the term 'escape room', you will probably think of a place with mysteriously decorated rooms and secret doors. The Control Room does not fit in this list. The entire experience is designed as a real control room. The Control Room consists of 3 identical rooms and each room is manned by 2 participants. In addition, each room is equipped with detachable desk screens, so that courses can be organised in total safety.
The experience
During their 'shift', students are challenged to deal with different kinds of reports. Cameras are available in each of the three rooms. This allows the instructor to watch the students live at a distance and assess them. A tablet is present outside the escape room which allows the instructor to control the entire installation. Will they be able to assist the victims and rescuers on the other end of the line under aggravated circumstances, such as time pressure? A unique experience in company emergency teams education!
