Fun overseas news! Our Hybrid practice extinguisher was shown on national Icelandic television in an interesting item about safety awareness. Our distributor Landstjarnan ehf. informed us of this superb news. Needless to say, we are ecstatic!
Landinn
The television item is initiated by “Landinn” (the country), a news show broadcasted by the Icelandic national station. Within the scope of domestic incident prevention, the Landinn crew visits a farm in the northern part of the country. In collaboration with the local fire department and the Red Cross, the farm is inspected on fire safety and security. Then, a Hybrid practice extinguisher is ignited on the farm’s snow-covered courtyard and various extinguishing techniques are demonstrated. Despite the freezing weather conditions, the Hybrid stands strong! This illustrates the large benefits of using the practice extinguisher without water.
112-Day
Landinn highlights the theme about the national 112-day in Iceland. This day is organised with the aim to make people more aware of (their) safety. The numbers 112 represent the Icelandic emergency number and of course the chosen date isn’t coincidental either.
