Firefighting exercises in and around the city center come with their fair share of challenges. That’s why Bart Richter from the Fire Department Amsterdam Amstelland reached out to us. Together, we developed an effective and realistic training environment for seven fire stations – complete with the right equipment and targeted training.
Following the rollout to the professional stations, the volunteers have now also been equipped with high-quality training materials, including the Fire Simulation Kit V4, a Cumulus smoke generator, an CBRNe training kit, and a Ruth Lee Multitrauma Manikin. But it doesn’t stop there! For each station, we developed not one, but two different training programs.
During these training sessions, station instructors learn how to create realistic scenarios using these materials – scenarios that push firefighters to their limits. This ensures they are fully prepared for the complex situations they may encounter in the city center.
