FireWare creates realistic training environments for emergency responders: and we do it at practically any location. So you can use your own town, city or environment as a real training center. The level of realism that can be achieved with this is extremely high. Without damaging anything. We call this non-destructive staging. Central to this staging is the perception and experience of the course participants.
FireWare, Veiligheidsregio Noord Holland Noord and EO work together (because the simulation is there anyway)
Setting up a large-scale simulation is quite a bit of work. To record teaching material for an e-learning about staging simulations, a large-scale incident was simulated in which FireWare's building was set on "fire."
Inspiring collaboration is one of FireWare's core values: so how nice is it when then multiple parties can benefit from the simulation? So we also made sure that other parties could participate! Both Safety Region Noord Holland Noord and the EO (Evangelische Omroep ) joined in.
Rachel valt Binnen
The EO is producing the program ‘Rachel valt binnen’. A series of episodes in which Rachel Rosier follows emergency responders. In the episode recorded during this simulation at FireWare, the questions of how firefighters search for people in a burning building and how to actually simulate fires are answered. Two very nice questions where the simulation is of great importance.
Educational film & e-learning
In addition to selling and renting equipment, FireWare also provides training in realistic staging for emergency responders. During this shooting day, a lot of training material was recorded for both educational films and the e-learning that is now being developed! A lot of valuable content was also collected for creating simulations for drone teams and teams of digital reconnaissance! But more on that soon!
Exercise for Veiligheidsregio Noord Holland Noord
Such a simulation is of course also an excellent opportunity to practice! The stations Wieringerwerf, Middenmeer and Wieringerwaard were able to run a nice exercise with an excellent amount of variation. Ending up outside in a defensive deployment with a correct setting is pretty cool....
Working together
The fact that so many different people are working at the same time in the same setting for their own production is not uncommon. But the fact that everyone kept each other's interests in mind is really cool!
