ProFhire immediately contacted FireWare when they moved premises. FireWare was involved from the moment the company was thinking about the building’s layout. The “coffee square” is located in the centre and all rooms and areas end up here: the office and the showroom with high glass walls, the classrooms and the simulator.
The space has also been divided up very conveniently within the simulator. Director Gerard van Gelder: “All space is being used.” Van Gelder is satisfied: “This has been designed exactly as it would be in a real life practical situation. The offices too, which give you the feeling you have simply walked out of some business premises.”
A large part of the equipment in the simulator comes from FireWare’s own old simulation area in Velserbroek and from ProFhire’s old offices. Plenty of things have therefore been recycled and used to create a brand new simulator. One of the most important innovations is the control. Control with the iPad means a trainer can now walk along and react to the students’ actions much more quickly.
“The evaluations have proven the students all love it. Everything is exactly as it should be and finished to perfection.”
