This thermal suit has been specially designed for exercises in which students have to locate victims. By wearing this suit, the manikin will be visible using a thermal camera. The Thermal Imaging Suit is suitable for all adult Ruth Lee manikins up to 90 kilograms.
Thermal imaging is becoming increasingly important in the emergency response industry. Thermal imaging cameras enable victims to be located much more quickly, especially in poor visibility environments. With the help of this suit, you can prepare the student for scenarios where thermal imaging is used.
The inside of the suit is constructed of strong, elastic, woven material. It ensures heat is spread quickly over the entire body of the manikin. The head of the manikin is covered by a hood. The exterior of the thermal suit is a special overall, which helps to evenly distribute the heat and provide protection. Dressing and undressing the manikin is very easy that allows organizing your training in a flexible matter!
The suit is provided with 50-meter-long sheathed wires sewn into the fabric. It makes the manikin resistant to temperatures up to 100 degrees Celcius. Do you prefer to practice at higher temperatures? Then the Fire House Manikin or the Silver Fire Manikin are better suited.
The wiring is attached to a waterproof 24 amp battery. Pre-charge this battery to use it for about 1 to 2 hours (depending on the ambient temperature). You can also choose to place the battery in a holster on the side of the dummy’s leg. When the battery is connected, it will extend its battery life up to 3 to 4 hours before it needs to be recharged.
Would you like to train students with thermal imaging technology for water rescues as well? Please take a look at the Thermal Imaging Mask, specially developed for all our water rescue manikins.
