Practice remotely with the wired remote control for the Cirrus, Cumulus, and Stratus smoke machines. While all these machines can be operated directly on the device itself, some training scenarios require a standalone machine. Thanks to this remote control with a 10-meter-long cable, this is now possible. If needed, the cable can be extended with a standard XLR cable. This allows for even more interactive smoke training!
The wired remote control is easy to use—even while wearing gloves. The remote features only an on/off switch and a large slider. The slider allows you to adjust the smoke output. The standard smoke output of these machines ranges from 0 to 100%. However, you can also set a custom maximum output. For example, if you set a maximum output of 37% on the machine, the slider will then allow you to regulate the output between 0 and 37%. This helps prevent excessive smoke in your scenario and extends the lifespan of your smoke fluid!
When setting up a training scenario for a medium or large fire, one smoke machine may not be enough. However, as a trainer, you can't be in two places at once. In this case, use multiple smoke machines equipped with a wired remote control so you can operate them from another location. You might also consider the wireless remote control, which allows you to connect multiple smoke machines to a single device—no cables running through your scenario, reducing the risk of tripping.
With the wired remote control, you can also precisely control the amount of smoke, making it easier to adjust the scenario dynamically. If the trainee’s firefighting efforts are effective, you can immediately reflect this in the amount of smoke. The trainer can coordinate this remotely while staying out of the simulated incident, making it easier to create a realistic training scenario!
