After the success of the first Hausmesse in 2019, yesterday Schmitt Feuerwehrtechnik was back with the second "Light Night". This event also took place in cooperation with suppliers of firefighting solutions, including FireWare. This year's central theme: "blackout - power failure".
On the Schmitt industrial estate in Neuwied, FireWare provided two staging areas. Sound effects, flame simulators and a smoke machine were used to simulate a fire in the cargo space of a truck. All simulation tools were operated, independently of each other, via the Incident Server tablet.
On the boundary of Schmitt's premises, FireSpots coloured the smoke from the Cumulus smoke machine with perforated smoke hose. This staged a super realistic wildfire, which was non-destructive to the terrain. And how cool is it to get a bird's eye view of this simulation from Rosenbauer's lifting vehicle!
