CREATING REALISTIC TRAINING ENVIRONMENTS

Simulation for drone and digital reconnaissance teams

23 March 2023

More and more resources are being used today to get a good picture during an incident. Many of these resources are unmanned. Think of drones or firefighting robots.

The rise of these resources also demands more from simulations. Does the picture look correct, even from the air? Are the intended learning and teaching objectives also achievable for drone teams or for a team of digital reconnaissance? All considerations that come with "modern" simulations.

Realistic picture: also from the air

This is not just about the simulation looking good and realistic. A simulation only really adds value if relevant information can actually be acquired by a drone team. Information that must then find its way through the chain. Information that can help make decisions. Especially during an exercise.

FireWare's simulation team is always pushing the boundaries of realistic staging. Not only for crews and commanders: but for all specializations involved in an exercise.

These photos and videos show how the boundaries of realistic staging for a platoon deployment can be pushed further. Also from the air.

Would you also like to set up a large-scale exercise with realistic staging? Then feel free to contact FireWare's simulation team!
