In the spring of 2012, FireWare moved to its current premises at industrial area De Stek in Wieringerwerf. In this building we have been able to provide ourselves with all modern conveniences. Offices are spacious, repairs and maintenance are carried out in our own workshop, visitors can experience training materials in our showroom and since last summer we have also been in digital contact with you via our own studio.
Since the move to De Stek, we have been able to offer space to more than 10 new colleagues. They all contribute to the same goal: enabling emergency response teams all over the world to train as realistically as possible. Together we help emergency response team members to become and stay professionally skilled. And we love to do that!
Parking
More colleagues and visitors also means more need for parking. That's why we adjusted our garden last month. The new garden not only offers extra parking spaces, but also ensures that space is freed up behind our building. This gives us more parking space to work on informational solutions, such as roadshows and mobile training centres. But, in the future even more will be possible!
Technical emergency response scenario
To adjust the garden it was necessary that a number of trees were pulled down. That gave us a fun idea. Why not combine this harvesting with a fire drill? For the Noord-Holland Noord Safety Region, we set up an extremely realistic scenario of an illegal street race. The fire brigade was completely free to saw the trees from our site and thus were able to work on the specialism of technical assistance. It was great being able to help the firefighting services working on their skills.
A special thank you to Loonbedrijf Sturm-Jacobs and D. Meijer Agriservice for the beautiful metamorphosis. We will enjoy this for years to come!
