FireWare and Kennisplatform Tunnelveiligheid (the Knowledge Platform for Tunnel Safety) have joined forces to make knowledge about realistic staging in tunnels more widely available. On 6 July, the KPT organised a webinar. FireWare was invited to give a lecture about this, in our opinion, great and important subject!
In 25 minutes time, some of the main points of interest in staging tunnels are covered (in Dutch). Tunnels are complex. The often long distances, tunnel ventilation, the many chain partners and the inconvenience caused by the closure of a tunnel are just a few of the circumstances that can make a tunnel exercise complicated. So how can an incident be simulated as realistically as possible and all the learning and teaching objectives of the participants achieved?
