2023 is almost over, and the Christmas days are around the corner. Time to take a step back and relax. Not only that, but it’s also the perfect moment to all put on our Christmas sweaters, look back on the past year, and reflect on all the highlights we’ve experienced at FireWare. We want to thank all of you for that!
Now you’re probably thinking, “What then?! Tell us, tell us!” We could write a whole newspaper filled with the best moments of last year, but we’ll spare you that. So, here’s our top 4 of 2023!
1. Another year added: FireWare turns 20!
On July 28th this year, FireWare celebrated its 20th birthday. This was grandly celebrated during FireFest on October 6th, with a speech by Simulation Specialist Merijn, a barbecue cooking workshop, and a beautiful gift!
2. IBGS / CBRNe label set for more realistic training with hazardous materials
In November, we launched this super cool product. The IBGS / CBRNe label set was conceived during an IBGS knowledge session, and over the past year, hard work has been put into developing this beautiful set. Inside the portable plastic case are more than 3000 labels, sample applications, and chemical smell spray to make exercises with hazardous materials more realistic!
3. New versatile simulation doll developed with Medical-X and Safety Region Haaglanden
Together with Safety Region Haaglanden, we developed the new Victima simulation doll over the past 2 years, brought to life together with Medical-X. On December 20th, this was grandly celebrated at Safety Region Haaglanden with pastries and the press!
4. EO TV program Rachel falls in: FireWare building on fire
In January 2023, a film crew from the EO TV program ‘Rachel falls in’ visited us. It’s a series of episodes where Rachel Rosier observes emergency responders. For this episode, a large fire simulation of the FireWare office building was staged. It turned out to be a very impressive simulation that produced super cool footage!
