Creating a large-scale wildfire simulation is not easy. The use of smoke provides a realistic impression of the size and spread direction of the fire. Simulating flames across extensive areas is more challenging, especially if you want the target boards to respond to firefighting actions.

To solve this challenge, FireWare developed the wildfire target boards. The target boards are ideal for use across large areas and make it possible to achieve specific training objectives.

Applications and use

With the wildfire target boards, you can quickly and easily set up a firefighting exercise. Thanks to the practical handle, the stakes can be inserted into the ground with ease, allowing training to begin immediately. The steel cable ensures that the flame boards remain attached to the stakes after being knocked down by a water stream, preventing them from getting lost. The boards indicate the location of fire hotspots. By placing a large number of boards, a realistic representation of the fire front can be created. When a fire is successfully extinguished, the boards fall from the stake, clearly indicating that the fire has been put out. Different magnet positions allow the force required to dislodge a board to be adjusted. This makes it possible for some boards to be extinguished with a spray stream, from a moving vehicle, or from a distance, while others remain in place and require a more direct firefighting approach, potentially involving deployment into the field.

The wildfire target boards are safe to use and built for long-term durability. The flame boards are attached with a three-position magnet, allowing you to determine how firmly they are secured and how much force is required to extinguish them. This enables the boards to be adapted to different firefighting methods. After use, the boards can simply be clicked back into place and reused for the next training exercise. The wildfire target boards consist of durable stainless steel stakes with magnetically attached flame boards made from Dibond. The boards are secured to the stakes with a steel cable.
